The majority of the museum’s collection consists of works by Nahum Gutman. Upon the establishment of the museum, the Gutman family made the artist’s estate available to the public. The collection, comprising more than 8,000 items, includes paintings, illustrations, and sculptures, as well as books, documents, photographs, and letters from the artist’s estate.

The museum’s collection holds at least one copy of most of Gutman’s publications, including books he illustrated and those he both wrote and illustrated. In addition to the artist’s collection, the museum also holds works by Israeli artists that have been donated to the museum over the years.
