The Gabriela Rich Education and Community Department at the Nahum Gutman Museum of Art has been active since the museum’s establishment. Its guides have academic training and backgrounds in the fields of education and art.

The department develops educational programs and creative workshops that connect Nahum Gutman’s multidisciplinary work with a wide range of subjects included in the curriculum of the Israeli Ministry of Education.

Through Nahum Gutman’s artistic and literary works, students engage with visual art, literature and language, civics, and history. The museum environment, with its original works of art, provides an opportunity for meaningful and enjoyable learning. The educational programs offer an experiential approach through active observation of artworks, games, discussions, and creative activities.

In addition, the department offers a variety of art and history tours in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood and along the first streets of Tel Aviv–Jaffa. The tours are adapted to different age groups.
